JAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY HELD SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

 

Jakarta State University is back this time by holding a festival, namely the National Short Movie Competition 2020. The festival was organized by the Student Executive Board for Information Technology and Computer Education, State University of Jakarta (BEM PTIK UNJ) and also to celebrate the establishment of SIGMA TV, State University of Jakarta.

This time, the Jakarta State University Short Film Festival 2020 presents several competition categories, starting from Documentary, where the theme in the documentary is free and held for students and students throughout Indonesia as well as the general public. The next competition category is the One Minute Film competition, where the theme has been determined from the University itself, which is the theme From Home We Can and for the last competition category there is Fiction, where the theme is free for students, students and the public.

        The Jakarta State University, especially the one who held it, opened its registration from September 10 to October 16, 2020. On that date the participants also had to send their video files to the committee for assessment. The implementation of this festival is carried out online by realizing that the current condition is still Covid-19, therefore the implementation is carried out online.

       The festival committee also awarded tens of millions of prizes to the winners, the aim was to raise the enthusiasm of the participants even though it was done in these circumstances and also to increase the creativity of young people in Indonesia regarding film and also to gain experience and be able to continue it to a level that was higher and can compete in the real film world out there, where we know that the world per film is increasing from year to year. In previous years the University also always held short film festivals as well, or in other words this festival was an agenda every year and the festival participants were increasing every year, even there are still many festivals held by the university every year.

  Festivals organized by the university are not only about films but many more, such as fashion festivals, graphic designer festivals and many more.
